Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Inkroll (the "Service") is operated by Blue Worlds Inventions Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Mauritius (registration number C22190172), registered office at UHY House, 71 Impasse Saipan, 80829 Moka ("we", "us", "our").

Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, acting as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. The Paddle contracting entity depends on your location and is identified by Paddle at checkout. When you buy a paid plan, your payment transaction is with Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer Terms and refund processes also apply. Your use of Inkroll itself is governed by these Terms.

By creating an account or using Inkroll, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Inkroll. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Inkroll only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or collect their personal data.

3. Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person, unless we agree otherwise. Do not share credentials or impersonate others.
• Tell us promptly at support@inkroll.gg if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Plans, billing and renewals

Inkroll offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Joining and playing in a campaign does not by itself require a paid plan; paid features apply to campaigns where you are the Game Master. Current prices, billing periods, included features, and any discounts are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

• Paid plans are billed in advance through Paddle and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings or through Paddle. Cancelling stops future renewals; your paid features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Prices may change. We will give reasonable advance notice of any change to a recurring price, and it will take effect at your next renewal.
• Taxes such as VAT or sales tax are handled by Paddle and shown at checkout.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Your content

You keep all rights you have in the characters, posts, images, campaigns, and other material you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example to resize images), and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the people you share a campaign with. This licence lasts only as long as needed to provide the Service and ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in routine backups for a limited period.

Campaigns are private to the users invited to them. We do not access campaign content except as needed to operate the Service, provide support, investigate abuse, enforce these Terms, comply with the law, protect users, or run features you enable.

Because a campaign is a shared, collaborative record, content you contribute may remain visible to other members of that campaign as part of its history unless it is removed through the available tools or by us under these Terms. Closing your account does not by itself erase content that is reasonably necessary to preserve a shared campaign record; where you ask us to delete your personal data, we handle that as described in our Privacy Policy, for example by removing your name from contributions we retain as part of the campaign.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to it. We do not guarantee backups; we recommend you use the export feature to keep your own copies.

6. Acceptable use

Inkroll is a safe-for-work service. Mature narrative themes common to tabletop roleplaying, such as violence or dark storylines, are allowed, but sexually explicit content is not. You agree not to upload, post, share, or use the Service to:

• create, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualizes minors. This is prohibited absolutely and will be reported to the authorities;
• post sexually explicit or pornographic material;
• upload or share pirated rulebooks, adventures, sourcebooks, maps, art, tokens, or other copyrighted material you do not have the right to use;
• harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against others;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
• break the law, distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• use the Service primarily as general file hosting unrelated to your games.

We enforce these rules using user reports, human review, and, where we choose to, automated tools. We do not routinely read private campaign content, but we may access or review content where needed to operate the Service, provide support, investigate abuse, comply with the law, or protect users and the Service. 7. Reporting, moderation and suspension

You can report content or conduct that breaks these Terms using the in-app report option or at abuse@inkroll.gg. We may review, remove, or restrict content, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. Content that is illegal or poses a risk to others may be removed or reported immediately and without prior notice. Where required by applicable law, we will give an affected user a reason for a content decision and information about how to appeal or complain.

We handle copyright complaints under a notice-and-takedown process. Send notices to abuse@inkroll.gg. A notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the content you believe is infringing and where it appears, give your contact details, and include a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law.

8. Intellectual property and game systems

Inkroll, its name, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you no rights in our trademarks or software beyond using the Service.

Inkroll is compatible with Fifth Edition game rules and includes material from the System Reference Document 5.1 and System Reference Document 5.2.1 by Wizards of the Coast LLC, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence. Our full attribution notice, including any modifications we have made, appears on our Legal Notices page. Inkroll is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Wizards of the Coast or Dungeons & Dragons. Game systems and rulesets are provided as configurable data; you are responsible for any third-party rules content you add.

9. Third-party features and services

Some features connect to third-party services you choose to use, for example importing a game from Myth-Weavers, sending notifications to Discord or Matrix, or using AI "Chronicle" features. Use of those features is your choice and may be subject to the third party's own terms. Where a feature sends content to a processor (for example AI summaries), this is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for content and credentials you bring from other services and for your right to use them.

10. Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep Inkroll available and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated text such as summaries is accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data or content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us for the Service (through Paddle) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.

12. Termination

You may stop using Inkroll and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where we must for legal or security reasons. Before closure you can export your campaigns using the export feature, after which your content may be deleted, subject to limited legal retention and to the shared-campaign provisions in section 5.

We may also change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or any part or tier of it (including the free tier), at any time. Where we discontinue the Service, or your access to it, for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, we will give reasonable advance notice and a period to export your content, and we will not be liable to you for the discontinuation. If we discontinue a paid feature or plan during a period you have already paid for, any refund or credit will be handled in line with our Refund Policy, Paddle's applicable refund process, and your mandatory consumer rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or in-app. Continuing to use Inkroll after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Subject to any mandatory right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in your country of residence, disputes are subject to the courts of Mauritius. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms to another entity as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of the Service, on notice to you.
